Historia La endémica escasez de lluvias de la ribera del Ebro ha obligado tradicionalmente a recurrir al riego mediante acequias. Existen antecedentes como la concesión (1339) a la ciudad de Zaragoza del privilegio para poder sacar acequias del Ebro y del Jalón o la Acequia Imperial de Aragón.
